Brantley is ONE

I had the privilege of meeting this little guy for his big boy one-year-old session.  He was a little skeptical of the studio I set up inside his living room, so we headed out front to grab some fresh air and these great portraits. Once he warmed up, we headed inside for his first taste of cake.  I always find it funny how you’d expect a baby to be totally excited when you set a huge cake in front of him telling him to ‘dig in!’, but the truth is, 9 times out of 10 they just look around not knowing what to do with it.  And that was Brantley.  Even after a little taste, he wasn’t much of a cake fan on session day, but he did have some fun making a mess and we got some awfully cute pictures of this sweet boy doing just that.

He must have been dreaming of cake after the session though.  His mama sent me a picture from the real deal birthday party a week later and this little guy TORE up his birthday cake, loving every bite.  What a stinker!
